How KCAL-FM Bundled a Local Fair Into a Multi-Channel Sponsorship

The Partnership

KCAL-FM partnered with the LA County Fair to run a sponsored ticket promotion through Audience.io, giving a hometown event the reach of a full-station campaign. Rather than treating the fair as a one-off mention, the station packaged it as a sponsorship opportunity that touched listeners across every channel they already had.

What Was Included

The sponsorship bundled together the pieces that make a promotion feel like it's everywhere at once, without requiring the fair to buy separate placements for each one:

  • Logo and branding placement within the promotion itself
  • Inclusion in email communications to the station's list
  • On-air mentions during the promotion window
  • Social media posts promoting the ticket giveaway

Sponsorship value: $2,500 to $4,999

Why It Matters

Local events are a natural fit for radio sponsorships, but they're often sold as a single line item, an on-air read, a single social post, a logo on a webpage. Bundling those channels into one package gives the sponsor more visibility and gives the station a higher-value deal for work it's largely already doing.

It's a model other stations can point to when pitching community partners: one campaign, one contact, coverage across on-air, email, and social.

About the Campaign

KCAL-FM worked with Audience.io to package a local event sponsorship across on-air, email, and social in a single promotion. Full campaign results will be added as they become available.
